By replacing the stock internals with a 30 mm cartridge system, it delivers a measurable step forward in damping precision and fork rigidity — equally at home on track days and fast road riding.

Öhlins developed the NIX 30 cartridge system to address the limitations of conventional damper rods at high cornering and braking loads. The separated compression and rebound circuits mean changes to one characteristic do not compromise the other, giving track riders a genuine data-driven setup process. On the road, the same architecture translates into a fork that tracks surface imperfections without the unsettled feel that often accompanies stiffened suspension.

Springs from the Öhlins 08790 series must be ordered separately, which allows the system to be precisely matched to the individual rider rather than relying on a one-size compromise. This modular approach is consistent with how professional race teams specify the FGK 224 in Superbike competition.

This kit is designed exclusively for the following models:

  • Ducati 1299 Panigale (2015–2016) — with ABE (Germany); fits models equipped with Marzocchi fork only.
  • Ducati 1299 Panigale (2017–2018) — with ABE (Germany).

Buyers with 2015–2016 machines should confirm their fork brand before ordering, as some early Panigale 1299 units were fitted with alternative fork assemblies that are not compatible with the FGK 224.
