The end eye carries the entire load of the damper into the chassis, which is why it is machined rather than cast.

Key Features

Finish: gold

Original Öhlins service part

Öhlins part number 15006-02

Where It Sits

There is no measurement to check here — the number and the exploded view identify it. Öhlins anodises caps for corrosion resistance where they are exposed. Thread pitch is specific to the tube — caps are not interchangeable between units. A worn eye bearing is often mistaken for worn damping.

Original Öhlins Part

Öhlins is one of the few suspension makers that still supplies every position in the exploded view as a single part. Buying the individual part rather than a complete assembly is what makes servicing an Öhlins unit worthwhile. If you are between two sizes, send us the measurement and we will check it against the catalogue. Service parts are supplied per piece unless the description says otherwise.

Identifying the Right Part

15006-02 is the Öhlins number for this position — the same one printed in the service documentation. This position has no published dimension, so the part number is the only reliable identifier. Top eyes with an integrated preload adjuster are listed as one part. The cap seals against an O-ring, so its face finish matters.

Fitting and Setup Service

Ask us about a full service: as an authorised Öhlins centre we strip, inspect, replace what is worn and set the unit back to its specification.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 15006-02

Category: End Caps

Finish: Gold

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/15006-02_7ec72358-9819-4657-9d55-0da07420c833.png?v=1788878390
