Öhlins machines the eye from the same billet as the body on many units.

Key Features

Finish: gold

Öhlins part number 15006-01

Original Öhlins service part

Function

This position is identified by its number rather than by a dimension. A worn eye bearing is often mistaken for worn damping. End caps carry adjusters, seals and often the gas valve. End caps close the tube and usually carry the adjusters and the gas valve.

Genuine Service Part

The part number is the contract: it defines material, dimension and finish together. Every part in this catalogue is one Öhlins fits itself during assembly and service. Where a number has been superseded, Öhlins states the replacement — we pass that on. Order by part number — descriptions repeat across sizes, numbers do not.

How to Be Sure It Fits

If the unit is already open, compare the dimensions below with the part in your hand before ordering 15006-01. Where no measurement is given, the drawing position is what identifies the part. End caps seal the unit and carry the adjusters; they are matched to the tube they close. Thread pitch is specific to the tube — caps are not interchangeable between units.

Fitting and Setup Service

A damper rebuild is workshop work: it needs the unit dismantled, the shim stack rebuilt in the correct order and the gas charge reset. We are an authorised Öhlins service centre and do exactly that in house — send us the unit or ask us to fit the part with your order.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 15006-01

Category: End Caps

Finish: Gold

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/15006-01_8235e453-165f-4e77-812b-39f8fa9d3898.png?v=1788875913
