End caps close the tube and usually carry the adjusters and the gas valve. Thread pitch is specific to the tube — caps are not interchangeable between units. Öhlins anodises caps for corrosion resistance where they are exposed.

Original Öhlins Part

The part is identical to what Öhlins fits in production — same supplier, same specification. Öhlins publishes dimensions for its service parts so a workshop can verify before it fits. Send us the model and serial number of your unit and we will confirm the position before you order. Ask us before ordering if you are unsure: a wrong part in a pressurised unit is an expensive lesson.

Identifying the Right Part

01658-10 is the Öhlins number for this position — the same one printed in the service documentation. Öhlins does not publish a dimension here — go by the number and the exploded view. Top eyes with an integrated preload adjuster are listed as one part. Spherical bearings in the eye let the damper move without binding as the linkage arcs.

Fitting and Setup Service

We are an authorised Öhlins service centre, so you do not have to source the tools and the nitrogen: send us the damper and we rebuild it with the correct parts and the correct setting.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 01658-10

Category: End Caps

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/01658-10_2909454d-4bcf-4601-a22d-d04ee0384d05.png?v=1788871365
