Eye width and bore diameter both have to match the chassis mount. The spherical bearing in an end eye lets the damper follow the linkage without side load. A worn eye bearing is often mistaken for tired damping.

Original Öhlins Part

Every part in this catalogue is one Öhlins fits itself during assembly and service. Öhlins lists this part under its own number in the service catalogue so a workshop can order exactly what it needs. The exploded drawing for your unit names the number; if you do not have it, we do. Öhlins parts are unit-specific: a close dimension is not a substitute.

Identifying the Right Part

Öhlins identifies this position by the number 62430-03 in the exploded view for the unit it belongs to. Öhlins states dimension a 18 mm, dimension b 145.5 mm, dimension c 32 mm for this number, and those figures are the deciding ones. The end eye carries the entire load of the damper into the chassis, which is why it is machined rather than cast. End caps seal the unit and carry the adjusters; they are matched to the tube they close.

Fitting and Setup Service

A damper rebuild is workshop work: it needs the unit dismantled, the shim stack rebuilt in the correct order and the gas charge reset. We are an authorised Öhlins service centre and do exactly that in house — send us the unit or ask us to fit the part with your order.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 62430-03

Category: End Eyes

Dimension A: 18 mm

Dimension B: 145.5 mm

Dimension C: 32 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/62430-03_4d2e61ee-1690-47e2-ab76-329b106963aa.png?v=1788881165
