Öhlins machines the eye from the same billet as the body on many units. A worn eye bearing is often mistaken for tired damping. Öhlins machines many eyes from the same billet as the damper body.

Why the Original

Buying the individual part rather than a complete assembly is what makes servicing an Öhlins unit worthwhile. The part number is the contract: it defines material, dimension and finish together. Order by part number — descriptions repeat across sizes, numbers do not. If the unit is already apart, compare the published dimensions with the part in your hand.

How to Be Sure It Fits

Öhlins identifies this position by the number 01297-22 in the exploded view for the unit it belongs to. dimension a 16 mm, dimension b 63 mm, dimension c 30 mm is what distinguishes this number from its neighbours in the range. Öhlins machines the eye from the same billet as the body on many units. Spherical bearings in the eye let the damper move without binding as the linkage arcs.

Fitting and Setup Service

We are an authorised Öhlins service centre, so you do not have to source the tools and the nitrogen: send us the damper and we rebuild it with the correct parts and the correct setting.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 01297-22

Category: End Eyes

Dimension A: 16 mm

Dimension B: 63 mm

Dimension C: 30 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/01297-22_0734d450-86d9-49b7-9465-c3f756ab9154.png?v=1788873588
