A worn end eye bearing is a common source of rear-end vagueness that gets blamed on damping.

Key Features

Dimension A 16 mm

Original Öhlins service part

Dimension B 43.1 mm

Dimension C 25.4 mm

Öhlins part number 05937-01

What It Is

05937-01 is the 16 mm, 43.1 mm, 25.4 mm version — Öhlins lists each size separately. A worn eye bearing is often mistaken for worn damping. Öhlins machines many eyes from the same billet as the damper body. Thread size and eye diameter identify the part.

Genuine Service Part

Öhlins lists this part under its own number in the service catalogue so a workshop can order exactly what it needs. Öhlins numbers every position so a workshop can order precisely what it needs, not a whole assembly. Order by part number — descriptions repeat across sizes, numbers do not. If you are unsure which number your unit takes, send us the model and serial number of the damper and we will look it up.

Identifying the Right Part

Öhlins identifies this position by the number 05937-01 in the exploded view for the unit it belongs to. Check dimension a 16 mm, dimension b 43.1 mm, dimension c 25.4 mm against what you have removed; a close size is not the same part. A spherical bearing in the eye lets the damper follow the linkage arc without side load. Thread size and eye diameter identify the part.

Fitting and Setup Service

Öhlins recommends that its units are serviced by an authorised centre. We are one: rebuild, revalve and setup all happen in our own workshop.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 05937-01

Category: End Eyes

Dimension A: 16 mm

Dimension B: 43.1 mm

Dimension C: 25.4 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/05937-01_b12c71bd-f9e6-4de1-94d2-30d3cd552ede.png?v=1788874687
