A worn end eye bearing is a common source of rear-end vagueness that gets blamed on damping.

Key Features

Dimension C 22.2 mm

Dimension B 66 mm

Dimension A 14 mm

Original Öhlins service part

Öhlins part number 10253-03

Function

Dimensionally this is 14 mm, 66 mm, 22.2 mm, which is how it is told apart from the rest of the range. End caps carry adjusters, seals and often the gas valve. Spherical bearings in the eye let the damper move without binding as the linkage arcs. End caps seal the unit and carry the adjusters; they are matched to the tube they close.

Why the Original

Suspension is one of the few areas where the original part is genuinely the cheaper decision. Öhlins keeps service parts available for units long after they leave the current price list. If you are between two sizes, send us the measurement and we will check it against the catalogue. Send us the model and serial number of your unit and we will confirm the position before you order.

How to Be Sure It Fits

If the unit is already open, compare the dimensions below with the part in your hand before ordering 10253-03. Check dimension a 14 mm, dimension b 66 mm, dimension c 22.2 mm against what you have removed; a close size is not the same part. The spherical bearing in an end eye lets the damper follow the linkage without side load. Eye width and bore diameter both have to match the chassis mount.

Fitting and Setup Service

Ask us about a full service: as an authorised Öhlins centre we strip, inspect, replace what is worn and set the unit back to its specification.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 10253-03

Category: End Eyes

Dimension A: 14 mm

Dimension B: 66 mm

Dimension C: 22.2 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/10253-03_12554937-b87a-42af-b017-7aa806b02cb1.png?v=1788878227
