The cap seals against an O-ring, so its face finish matters.

Key Features

Öhlins part number 05957-01

Original Öhlins service part

Function

This position is identified by its number rather than by a dimension. End caps carry adjusters, seals and often the gas valve. The eye takes the entire load path from wheel to chassis. The cap seals against an O-ring, so its face finish matters.

Genuine Service Part

Suspension is one of the few areas where the original part is genuinely the cheaper decision. An original part keeps the unit within its published specification; a near-equivalent quietly moves it. Service parts are supplied per piece unless the description says otherwise. Order by part number. The dimensions below are the ones Öhlins publishes for it.

Getting the Number Right

The reliable route is the exploded drawing: find the position, read the number, order it — 05957-01 in this case. Öhlins does not publish a dimension here — go by the number and the exploded view. End caps carry adjusters, seals and often the gas valve. Thread pitch on end caps is specific to the tube they close.

The alternative to a service part is usually a new damper, which is why this catalogue exists.

Fitting and Setup Service

We are an authorised Öhlins service centre, so you do not have to source the tools and the nitrogen: send us the damper and we rebuild it with the correct parts and the correct setting.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 05957-01

Category: End Caps

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/05957-01_b712ca3c-ac5f-4483-b03e-8a1e8675f44d.png?v=1788874738
