A scored bore means lost damping, because the oil bypasses the piston rather than being forced through the shims.

Key Features

Original Öhlins service part

Length 250.5 mm

Öhlins part number 04772-19

Diameter 30 mm

Where It Sits

Dimensionally this is 30 mm, 250.5 mm, which is how it is told apart from the rest of the range. Twin-tube dampers use two concentric tubes, and both are listed separately. Öhlins matches tube and piston as a pair during assembly, which is why the part numbers are specific. The tube carries the end cap threads, so damaged threads mean a new tube rather than a repair.

Why the Original

Rebuilding to specification only works if the parts are to specification — that starts here. Öhlins supports units that are decades old, which is why the spare parts list runs to thousands of numbers. Ask us before ordering if you are unsure: a wrong part in a pressurised unit is an expensive lesson. Service parts are ordered per piece unless stated otherwise.

Identifying the Right Part

Order under 04772-19. Where several sizes share a description, only the number separates them. Check diameter 30 mm, length 250.5 mm against what you have removed; a close size is not the same part. Reservoir tubes carry the gas charge and are built to the same standard as the working cylinder. Öhlins hones its tubes to a defined surface finish rather than simply to a diameter.

Fitting and Setup Service

If you would rather not open the damper yourself, we can do it — we are an authorised Öhlins service centre and rebuild these units as a matter of routine.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 04772-19

Category: Cylinder Tubes

Diameter: 30 mm

Length: 250.5 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/04772-19_47679164-957c-4bee-b9f1-fd8992e7a7a1.png?v=1788875997
