The cylinder tube is the working bore: the piston runs inside it and every damping force is reacted by its wall.

Key Features

Öhlins part number 05919-03

Length 54 mm

Original Öhlins service part

Diameter 46 mm

Function

This one measures 46 mm, 54 mm, and those figures are what separate it from the neighbouring numbers. Öhlins gives the tube its diameter and its working length as a pair — a tube of the same bore but different length belongs to a different unit. Öhlins matches tube and piston as a pair during assembly, which is why the part numbers are specific. Öhlins turns and hones each tube to a defined roundness, because an out-of-round bore leaks past the piston.

Genuine Service Part

The tolerances here are the ones the unit was assembled to, not a pattern equivalent's interpretation of them. Every part in this catalogue is one Öhlins fits itself during assembly and service. If you are between two sizes, send us the measurement and we will check it against the catalogue. If you are unsure which number your unit takes, send us the model and serial number of the damper and we will look it up.

Identifying the Right Part

The reliable route is the exploded drawing: find the position, read the number, order it — 05919-03 in this case. diameter 46 mm, length 54 mm is what distinguishes this number from its neighbours in the range. A tube that has been bottomed hard often shows a ring mark; that is a reason to replace it. A hard bottoming often leaves a witness ring inside the bore — that tube is finished.

Fitting and Setup Service

Ask us about a full service: as an authorised Öhlins centre we strip, inspect, replace what is worn and set the unit back to its specification.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 05919-03

Category: Cylinder Tubes

Diameter: 46 mm

Length: 54 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/05919-03_0f119d72-ea09-4657-acd8-efc4b36ff316.png?v=1788877161
