Corrosion inside a tube is terminal: it cannot be honed out without changing the clearance. The cylinder tube is the working bore of the damper: the piston runs in it, and its finish decides how well the piston rings seal. A scored bore means lost damping, because the oil bypasses the piston rather than being forced through the shims.

Why the Original

Rebuilding to specification only works if the parts are to specification — that starts here. Öhlins lists this part under its own number in the service catalogue so a workshop can order exactly what it needs. Send us the model and serial number of your unit and we will confirm the position before you order. Service parts are supplied per piece unless the description says otherwise.

Identifying the Right Part

If the unit is already open, compare the dimensions below with the part in your hand before ordering 01110-25. diameter 46 mm, length 171 mm is what distinguishes this number from its neighbours in the range. The cylinder is one of the few damper parts that is genuinely wear-limited. Öhlins gives the tube its diameter and its working length as a pair — a tube of the same bore but different length belongs to a different unit.

Fitting and Setup Service

Ask us about a full service: as an authorised Öhlins centre we strip, inspect, replace what is worn and set the unit back to its specification.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 01110-25

Category: Cylinder Tubes

Diameter: 46 mm

Length: 171 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/01110-25_66130b3a-50c3-42f2-a6ea-b9003e1faef0.png?v=1788873256
