Tubes are replaced when the bore is marked; polishing them out changes the clearance and makes it worse. Surface finish is specified in microns, because it decides how quickly the piston band wears. A hard bottoming often leaves a witness ring inside the bore — that tube is finished.

Genuine Service Part

Öhlins is one of the few suspension makers that still supplies every position in the exploded view as a single part. The alternative to a service part is usually a new damper, which is why this catalogue exists. Service parts are ordered per piece unless stated otherwise. The Öhlins exploded view names the number for each position; we can look it up if you do not have it.

Identifying the Right Part

Öhlins identifies this position by the number 06361-01 in the exploded view for the unit it belongs to. The published dimensions are diameter 44 mm, length 343.5 mm — measure the old part against them if you are unsure. Tubes are replaced when the bore is marked; polishing them out changes the clearance and makes it worse. Length here is the working length, not the overall dimension, which is why two similar tubes are not interchangeable.

Fitting and Setup Service

Ask us about a full service: as an authorised Öhlins centre we strip, inspect, replace what is worn and set the unit back to its specification.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 06361-01

Category: Cylinder Tubes

Diameter: 44 mm

Length: 343.5 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/06361-01_b2b5d81f-602d-41e1-92ee-910b7ca1a5c5.png?v=1788877867
