Bore finish decides how well the piston band seals; a scored tube leaks damping past the piston. Twin-tube dampers use two concentric tubes, and both are listed separately. The tube also carries the end cap threads, so thread damage means a new tube.

Genuine Service Part

Rebuilding to specification only works if the parts are to specification — that starts here. Öhlins supports its suspension with individual service parts, which is why a fifteen-year-old damper can still be rebuilt to specification. The Öhlins exploded view names the number for each position; we can look it up if you do not have it. Service parts are supplied per piece unless the description says otherwise.

Identifying the Right Part

The reliable route is the exploded drawing: find the position, read the number, order it — 64301-02 in this case. Öhlins states diameter 36 mm, length 147 mm for this number, and those figures are the deciding ones. The cylinder tube is the working bore of the damper: the piston runs in it, and its finish decides how well the piston rings seal. Twin-tube dampers use two concentric tubes, and both are listed separately.

Fitting and Setup Service

Ask us about a full service: as an authorised Öhlins centre we strip, inspect, replace what is worn and set the unit back to its specification.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 64301-02

Category: Cylinder Tubes

Diameter: 36 mm

Length: 147 mm

Finish: Black

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/64301-02_846c36ea-f19f-43bd-9f08-89bfeec4a0e0.png?v=1788878760
