Circlips hold axial position under load; a sprung one lets the assembly walk.

Key Features

Öhlins part number 05813-02

Original Öhlins service part

What It Is

Öhlins publishes no separate dimension for this position, so the part number carries the identity. A spacer that is a millimetre short changes the preload on a shim stack, and with it the damping. Fasteners in a damper see pressure, heat and vibration at once, which is why the grade matters. A wrong washer under an adjuster changes the click range without anyone noticing why.

Why the Original

An original part keeps the unit within its published specification; a near-equivalent quietly moves it. Rebuilding to specification only works if the parts are to specification — that starts here. If you are between two sizes, send us the measurement and we will check it against the catalogue. Öhlins parts are unit-specific: a close dimension is not a substitute.

Getting the Number Right

If the unit is already open, compare the dimensions below with the part in your hand before ordering 05813-02. Öhlins does not publish a dimension here — go by the number and the exploded view. A spacer that is a millimetre short changes the preload on a shim stack, and with it the damping. Small parts are cheap until one of them is missing on a Friday afternoon.

Fitting and Setup Service

We are an authorised Öhlins service centre, so you do not have to source the tools and the nitrogen: send us the damper and we rebuild it with the correct parts and the correct setting.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 05813-02

Category: Pins

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/05813-02_f3434eee-8284-4642-9ee2-1f4c153550de.png?v=1788874590
