Mounting hardware is model-specific even where the damper body is common.

Key Features

Original Öhlins service part

Öhlins part number 02281-03

Where It Sits

This position is identified by its number rather than by a dimension. Öhlins machines its housings from solid rather than casting them, which keeps the bores true. Housings carry bores for adjusters and seals; their concentricity decides whether the unit seals. Öhlins anodises housings for corrosion resistance rather than for looks.

Why the Original

The part is identical to what Öhlins fits in production — same supplier, same specification. Öhlins lists this part under its own number in the service catalogue so a workshop can order exactly what it needs. Tell us the damper's model designation and year and we will match the number for you. If you are unsure which number your unit takes, send us the model and serial number of the damper and we will look it up.

Identifying the Right Part

Part number 02281-03 is unambiguous; the description alone is not, because Öhlins uses similar wording across sizes. Where no measurement is given, the drawing position is what identifies the part. Öhlins machines housings from solid billet rather than casting them. Brackets locate the damper or reservoir against the chassis and take the load in one direction only.

Fitting and Setup Service

Fitting service parts means opening a pressurised unit. As an authorised Öhlins service centre we do that here, with the right tools and a dyno check afterwards — just ask.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 02281-03

Category: Brackets

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/02281-03_a865d8d6-f274-4377-84f5-4758dad5f16f.png?v=1788871735
