Shoulder screws set a clearance as well as clamping, which is why the length is exact.

Key Features

Öhlins part number 15430-02

Original Öhlins service part

Function

Öhlins publishes no separate dimension for this position, so the part number carries the identity. Small parts are what hold a rebuild together — the wrong circlip or washer is enough to fail the job. Öhlins gives every washer and spacer its own part number because its length or thickness is part of the internal geometry. A spacer that is a millimetre short changes the preload on a shim stack, and with it the damping.

Original Öhlins Part

Öhlins keeps service parts available for units long after they leave the current price list. Öhlins supports its suspension with individual service parts, which is why a fifteen-year-old damper can still be rebuilt to specification. If the unit is already apart, compare the published dimensions with the part in your hand. Service parts are ordered per piece unless stated otherwise.

Identifying the Right Part

The reliable route is the exploded drawing: find the position, read the number, order it — 15430-02 in this case. Öhlins does not publish a dimension here — go by the number and the exploded view. Öhlins lists these individually because a service usually needs a handful of them. A plug that seals a gas port is a pressure part despite its size.

Fitting and Setup Service

If you would rather not open the damper yourself, we can do it — we are an authorised Öhlins service centre and rebuild these units as a matter of routine.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 15430-02

Category: Plugs

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/15430-02_172c717b-13d6-4320-8801-b86c3f9d1662.png?v=1788876333
