The adjuster knob is what the rider touches, and Öhlins colour-codes it by function. Compression and rebound adjusters are not interchangeable even when they look similar. The needle tip is the wear part: once rounded, the first few clicks stop doing anything.

Original Öhlins Part

Öhlins publishes dimensions for its service parts so a workshop can verify before it fits. Öhlins supports units that are decades old, which is why the spare parts list runs to thousands of numbers. Service parts are ordered per piece unless stated otherwise. Ask us before ordering if you are unsure: a wrong part in a pressurised unit is an expensive lesson.

Identifying the Right Part

15004-02 is the Öhlins number for this position — the same one printed in the service documentation. Öhlins does not publish a dimension here — go by the number and the exploded view. Compression and rebound adjusters are not interchangeable even when they look similar. A rounded tip means the first clicks stop doing anything.

Fitting and Setup Service

Öhlins recommends that its units are serviced by an authorised centre.
