EC motor unit gr. right, Öhlins part number 04748-21. Electronically controlled adjusters replace the needle with a solenoid but keep the same hydraulics.

Key Features

Öhlins part number 04748-21

Original Öhlins service part

Function

There is no measurement to check here — the number and the exploded view identify it. The needle tip is the wear part: once rounded, the first few clicks stop doing anything. A worn adjuster loses its clicks, and with them any chance of a methodical setup. The adjuster knob is what the rider touches, and Öhlins colour-codes it by function.

Genuine Service Part

The part is identical to what Öhlins fits in production — same supplier, same specification. Öhlins supports units that are decades old, which is why the spare parts list runs to thousands of numbers. The Öhlins exploded view names the number for each position; we can look it up if you do not have it. Ask us before ordering if you are unsure: a wrong part in a pressurised unit is an expensive lesson.

Getting the Number Right

04748-21 is the Öhlins number for this position — the same one printed in the service documentation. Öhlins does not publish a dimension here — go by the number and the exploded view. Hydraulic preload adjusters are sealed units and are replaced rather than opened. Compression and rebound adjusters are not interchangeable even when they look similar.

Fitting and Setup Service

If you would rather not open the damper yourself, we can do it — we are an authorised Öhlins service centre and rebuild these units as a matter of routine.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 04748-21

Category: Adjusters

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/04748-21_f025ea32-c628-487f-9d42-9da57d8f9178.png?v=1788873027
