Hydraulic preload adjusters are sealed and pressurised; they are replaced as a unit.

Key Features

Öhlins part number 21905-01

Original Öhlins service part

Function

Öhlins publishes no separate dimension for this position, so the part number carries the identity. Öhlins builds click adjusters with defined detents so a setting can be written down and returned to. Preload adjusters carry the full spring force and are built accordingly. Öhlins publishes the click count for each unit, and a rebuilt adjuster should return it.

Genuine Service Part

The part is identical to what Öhlins fits in production — same supplier, same specification. Öhlins numbers every position so a workshop can order precisely what it needs, not a whole assembly. The Öhlins exploded view names the number for each position; we can look it up if you do not have it. Send us the model and serial number of your unit and we will confirm the position before you order.

Identifying the Right Part

Part number 21905-01 is unambiguous; the description alone is not, because Öhlins uses similar wording across sizes. Öhlins does not publish a dimension here — go by the number and the exploded view. Needle and seat together meter the bleed flow; damage to either changes the whole adjustment range. Hydraulic preload adjusters are sealed units and are replaced rather than opened.

Fitting and Setup Service

Fitting service parts means opening a pressurised unit. As an authorised Öhlins service centre we do that here, with the right tools and a dyno check afterwards — just ask.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 21905-01

Category: Adjusters

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/21905-01_e039f7cd-02d7-46d9-a01c-956138ca9002.png?v=1788878003
