Hydraulic preload adjusters are sealed units and are replaced rather than opened. Detent balls and springs are separate parts because they wear before the housing does. The adjuster knob is what the rider touches, and Öhlins colour-codes it by function.

Original Öhlins Part

Rebuilding to specification only works if the parts are to specification — that starts here. Buying the individual part rather than a complete assembly is what makes servicing an Öhlins unit worthwhile. Send us the model and serial number of your unit and we will confirm the position before you order. If you are between two sizes, send us the measurement and we will check it against the catalogue.

Getting the Number Right

Part number 15004-01 is unambiguous; the description alone is not, because Öhlins uses similar wording across sizes. Where no measurement is given, the drawing position is what identifies the part. The needle meters the bleed flow, and its taper shapes the whole adjustment range. Preload adjusters carry the full spring force and are built accordingly.

Fitting and Setup Service

We are an authorised Öhlins service centre, so you do not have to source the tools and the nitrogen: send us the damper and we rebuild it with the correct parts and the correct setting.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 15004-01

Category: Adjustment Needles

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/15004-01_2b34c2c9-2b76-4f09-9980-9e4c9db59a98.png?v=1788878385
