Measure the old part against them before ordering. Mounting hardware is model-specific — the damper body may be common, the brackets never are. Öhlins machines its housings from solid rather than casting them, which keeps the bores true. Housing threads carry the adjusters and are the part that suffers if the adjuster is forced.

Why the Original

Buying the individual part rather than a complete assembly is what makes servicing an Öhlins unit worthwhile. Rebuilding to specification only works if the parts are to specification — that starts here. Tell us the damper's model designation and year and we will match the number for you. Öhlins numbers do not follow a logic you can guess — always read them from the documentation.

How to Be Sure It Fits

The reliable route is the exploded drawing: find the position, read the number, order it — 21650-09 in this case. Öhlins states dimension a 1 mm, dimension b 41.75 mm, dimension c 17 mm for this number, and those figures are the deciding ones. Clamps have a specified torque; over-tightening distorts the bore they hold. Brackets locate the damper or reservoir against the chassis and take the load in one direction only.

Fitting and Setup Service

If you would rather not open the damper yourself, we can do it — we are an authorised Öhlins service centre and rebuild these units as a matter of routine.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 21650-09

Category: Adaptors

Dimension A: 1 mm

Dimension B: 41.75 mm

Dimension C: 17 mm

Thread: M30x1

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/21650-09_23def5dd-e36a-4962-891d-081316f37218.png?v=1788879872
