Adaptors let one damper body serve several mounting geometries. A cracked bracket is a safety matter, not a cosmetic one. Brackets locate the damper or reservoir against the chassis and take the load in one direction only.

Why the Original

Öhlins lists this part under its own number in the service catalogue so a workshop can order exactly what it needs. Suspension is one of the few areas where the original part is genuinely the cheaper decision. The Öhlins exploded view names the number for each position; we can look it up if you do not have it. The exploded drawing for your unit names the number; if you do not have it, we do.

Identifying the Right Part

Öhlins identifies this position by the number 21649-09 in the exploded view for the unit it belongs to. Check dimension a 1.25 mm, dimension b 25 mm against what you have removed; a close size is not the same part. Brackets locate the damper or reservoir against the chassis and take the load in one direction only. A housing carries adjusters and their seals, so its bores matter as much as its outside.

Fitting and Setup Service

If you would rather not open the damper yourself, we can do it — we are an authorised Öhlins service centre and rebuild these units as a matter of routine.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 21649-09

Category: Adaptors

Dimension A: 1.25 mm

Dimension B: 25 mm

Thread: M8x1.25

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/21649-09_e4251abd-ef6a-4c3a-a1d4-f0993d3b402b.png?v=1788879859
