A housing carries adjusters and their seals, so its bores matter as much as its outside.

Key Features

Dimension B 30 mm

Dimension A 1.25 mm

Original Öhlins service part

Öhlins part number 21649-05

Thread M10x1.25

What It Is

Dimensionally this is 1.25 mm, 30 mm, which is how it is told apart from the rest of the range. Öhlins anodises housings for corrosion resistance rather than for looks. Mounting hardware is model-specific — the damper body may be common, the brackets never are. Adaptor pieces let one damper body serve several mounting geometries.

Original Öhlins Part

Parts remain available years after a unit leaves the current price list, which is unusual in this trade. Suspension is one of the few areas where the original part is genuinely the cheaper decision. Service parts are supplied per piece unless the description says otherwise. We can check the number against the Öhlins exploded view before you order — just ask.

Getting the Number Right

If the unit is already open, compare the dimensions below with the part in your hand before ordering 21649-05. Check dimension a 1.25 mm, dimension b 30 mm against what you have removed; a close size is not the same part. A cracked bracket is a safety matter, not a cosmetic one. Housing threads carry the adjusters and are the part that suffers if the adjuster is forced.

Fitting and Setup Service

A damper rebuild is workshop work: it needs the unit dismantled, the shim stack rebuilt in the correct order and the gas charge reset. We are an authorised Öhlins service centre and do exactly that in house — send us the unit or ask us to fit the part with your order.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 21649-05

Category: Adaptors

Dimension A: 1.25 mm

Dimension B: 30 mm

Thread: M10x1.25

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/21649-05_68c7398a-ccb4-417e-b5c1-6ab039f8b787.png?v=1788879854
