The LighTech OBT003 is that bracket — the listed height tall with the listed projection of projection, 47 g. LighTech makes the OBT003 in black only. Fitting it to a GSX-R 1000 is a job of minutes, not hours.

Key Features

Steel-free so nothing corrodes into the GSX-R 1000 fitting

It is the cheapest visible change on a GSX-R 1000

The rear bracket of the pair

Made in Italy

Covers the GSX-R 1000 across 22 model years (2005 to 2026)

Black anodised — LighTech makes this bracket in no other finish

Care and Checks

Vibration finds every loose fastener on the GSX-R 1000 eventually. Beyond that the OBT003 asks nothing of you.

The Mount Decides the Fit

Two brackets exist for a reason: height and projection differ front to rear. LighTech dimensions the OBT003 to the listed height by the listed projection so the hose run stays short on the GSX-R 1000. It fits the LighTech reservoirs OBT001, OBT006 and OBT007 and is sold without any of them.

What It Fits

This listing covers the Suzuki GSX-R 1000, 2005 to 2026. It is an adaptable bracket, not a Suzuki part — measure the space on the GSX-R 1000 first.

Fitting

Installation on the GSX-R 1000 needs no special service tool. Mount it so the reservoir sits above the master cylinder on the GSX-R 1000, never below. Keep the original parts — the change is fully reversible on the GSX-R 1000.

Scope of Delivery

LighTech ships the OBT003 on its own. LighTech keeps it as a stock item.

What You Also Need

No reservoir is included with the OBT003. The tank — OBT001, OBT006 or OBT007 — is a separate article. A complete installation on the GSX-R 1000 is one tank plus one bracket.

Road Use and Approval

A fluid reservoir is part of the braking system, and German law treats it that way. There is no type approval for the OBT003; we say that plainly rather than bury it. We would rather you asked your inspection body first than found out at the next test.

Specifications

Brand: LighTech

Part number: OBT003

Type: Reservoir support

Height: see description

Projection: see description

Material: Anodised aluminium

Finish: Black only

Fits reservoirs: OBT001, OBT006, OBT007

Weight: 47 g

Fitment: Suzuki GSX-R 1000 (2005 to 2026)

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/v_OBT003-B_246640d5-0e80-4bda-9584-4a9ec882b0f6.png?v=1791207167
