LighTech's OBT009 carries the reservoir at 28.9 mm height and 31 mm out from the mount. There is no colour choice here — the OBT009 is black. The listing covers the R6 across 22 model years (2005 to 2026).

Key Features

Reversible — the original part goes back on the R6 any time

Fitting the OBT009 to the R6 needs hand tools only

The OBT009 is machined from solid, not cast or pressed

It is the smallest line on the order

Fits the LighTech reservoirs the OBT001 / OBT006 / OBT007 range

Laser-marked with the LighTech logo

In the Workshop

The OBT009 goes on with the R6 on its stand. Mount it so the reservoir sits above the master cylinder on the R6, never below. The original part goes back on the R6 any time.

Compatibility

Fitment is the R6 across 2005 to 2026. It is an adaptable bracket, not a Yamaha part — measure the space on the R6 first.

Why the Bracket Matters

A reservoir that is not held properly is a reservoir that moves. LighTech dimensions the OBT009 to 28.9 mm by 31 mm so the hose run stays short on the R6. It fits the LighTech reservoirs OBT001, OBT006 and OBT007 and is sold without any of them.

Supplied As

The OBT009 is supplied as a single bracket with its fasteners. Packaging carries the reference, so a second order is unambiguous.

What You Also Need

LighTech sells this mount on its own. The tank — OBT001, OBT006 or OBT007 — is a separate article. A complete installation on the R6 is one tank plus one bracket.

Maintenance

Vibration finds every loose fastener on the R6 eventually. Nothing else about the OBT009 wears in normal use.

Regulations and the Hydraulic Circuit

The hydraulic circuit is the one area where a styling part stops being a styling part. We list the OBT009 without an approval claim because LighTech issues none. For a road-registered R6 in Germany, have the installation assessed before you rely on it — and have the system bled and checked by a workshop afterwards.

Technical Data

Brand: LighTech

Part number: OBT009

Type: Reservoir bracket, rear

Height: 28.9 mm

Projection: 31 mm

Material: Anodised aluminium

Finish: Black only

Fits reservoirs: OBT001, OBT006, OBT007

Weight: 10 g

Fitment: Yamaha R6 (2005 to 2026)

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/v_OBT009_4029757d-e45a-4d74-95e0-3710074b4820.png?v=1791204551
