LighTech's OBT009 carries the reservoir at 28.9 mm height and 31 mm out from the mount. There is no colour choice here — the OBT009 is black. LighTech lists it for the GSX-8R; mounting is straightforward and reversible.

Key Features

10 g on the GSX-8R

LighTech part number OBT009, listed for the Suzuki GSX-8R

Sold separately from the reservoir, as LighTech supplies it

It is the cheapest visible change on a GSX-8R

Laser-marked with the LighTech logo

A stock LighTech item rather than a special order

Compatibility

LighTech catalogues the OBT009 for the GSX-8R (2023 to 2026). The bracket carries the reservoir; check the space on your GSX-8R before deciding front or rear.

Position Is the Point

The bracket is the part that has to suit the GSX-8R, not the tank. LighTech dimensions the OBT009 to 28.9 mm by 31 mm so the hose run stays short on the GSX-8R. It is the smallest part of the installation.

In the Workshop

The OBT009 replaces an existing part on the GSX-8R rather than adding one. Check steering lock on the GSX-8R once the tank is in place. The original part goes back on the GSX-8R any time.

Looking After It

Anodised aluminium takes brake cleaner badly; keep it off the OBT009. Otherwise it is a fit-and-forget item on the GSX-8R.

In the Package

One bracket per package for the GSX-8R. The part number is all you need to quote for a repeat order on the GSX-8R.

The Second Part Number

No reservoir is included with the OBT009. It carries LighTech's OBT001, OBT006 and OBT007 tanks, which are ordered separately. Ask us and we will pair it with the right reservoir for your GSX-8R.

Road Use and Approval

Brake components are regulated for the obvious reason, and this is one. No approval paperwork comes with the OBT009 and we do not present it as approved. We would rather you asked your inspection body first than found out at the next test.

Technical Data

Brand: LighTech

Part number: OBT009

Type: Reservoir bracket, rear

Height: 28.9 mm

Projection: 31 mm

Material: Anodised aluminium

Finish: Black only

Fits reservoirs: OBT001, OBT006, OBT007

Weight: 10 g

Fitment: Suzuki GSX-8R (2023 to 2026)

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/v_OBT009_436e27e8-e288-433e-91f6-7377c608774c.png?v=1791204318
