The OBT009 sets the reservoir position on the ZX-10 R at 28.9 mm and 31 mm. One finish only: black, as LighTech supplies it. The listing covers the ZX-10 R across 23 model years (2004 to 2026).

Key Features

Laser-marked with the LighTech logo

Decides where the reservoir ends up on the ZX-10 R

Black anodised — LighTech makes this bracket in no other finish

Fitting the OBT009 to the ZX-10 R needs hand tools only

Supplied individually for the ZX-10 R

It is the cheapest visible change on a ZX-10 R

Choosing Front or Rear

The bracket is the part that has to suit the ZX-10 R, not the tank. Black anodised aluminium at 10 g, which is all the OBT009 needs to be. It fits the LighTech reservoirs OBT001, OBT006 and OBT007 and is sold without any of them.

Fitment

LighTech catalogues the OBT009 for the ZX-10 R (2004 to 2026). Mounting is simple, but where it ends up on the ZX-10 R is your decision, not a fixed point.

Maintenance

Anodised aluminium takes brake cleaner badly; keep it off the OBT009. The OBT009 needs no maintenance of its own beyond that.

In the Workshop

The OBT009 goes on with the ZX-10 R on its stand. Mount it so the reservoir sits above the master cylinder on the ZX-10 R, never below. Instructions are in the box; the ZX-10 R needs no modification.

The Second Part Number

The OBT009 is a bracket and nothing else. The tank — OBT001, OBT006 or OBT007 — is a separate article. If you are starting from nothing on the ZX-10 R, you need both lines on the order.

Supplied As

One bracket per package for the ZX-10 R. LighTech keeps it as a stock item.

Approval and Safety

A fluid reservoir is part of the braking system, and German law treats it that way. No approval paperwork comes with the OBT009 and we do not present it as approved. Track-only machines raise no approval question; a registered ZX-10 R does.

Specifications

Brand: LighTech

Part number: OBT009

Type: Reservoir bracket, rear

Height: 28.9 mm

Projection: 31 mm

Material: Anodised aluminium

Finish: Black only

Fits reservoirs: OBT001, OBT006, OBT007

Weight: 10 g

Fitment: Kawasaki ZX-10 R (2004 to 2026)

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/v_OBT009_7981ef1a-2087-4bd4-b9f8-e411f2be4775.png?v=1791204185
