The LighTech OBT009 is that bracket — 28.9 mm tall with 31 mm of projection, 10 g. LighTech makes the OBT009 in black only. It goes onto the CB 650 R without modification and comes off again just as easily.

Key Features

Sold separately from the reservoir, as LighTech supplies it

A stock LighTech item rather than a special order

The OBT009 is machined from solid, not cast or pressed

Supplied individually for the CB 650 R

Nothing on the CB 650 R is drilled, cut or permanently altered

It is the cheapest visible change on a CB 650 R

Mounting It

The OBT009 goes on with the CB 650 R on its stand. Check steering lock on the CB 650 R once the tank is in place. Re-check the fasteners after the first ride.

Application

LighTech catalogues the OBT009 for the CB 650 R (2019 to 2026). It is an adaptable bracket, not a Honda part — measure the space on the CB 650 R first.

Position Is the Point

The bracket is the part that has to suit the CB 650 R, not the tank. The OBT009 is the rear of the two brackets, measuring 28.9 mm and 31 mm. One bracket per reservoir — the CB 650 R needs the tank ordered alongside.

Scope of Delivery

The OBT009 is supplied as a single bracket with its fasteners. Packaging carries the reference, so a second order is unambiguous.

What You Also Need

LighTech sells this mount on its own. The tank — OBT001, OBT006 or OBT007 — is a separate article. A complete installation on the CB 650 R is one tank plus one bracket.

Maintenance

Vibration finds every loose fastener on the CB 650 R eventually. There is no service interval for the part itself.

Brake System and Road Approval

Replacing a reservoir touches the brake system of the CB 650 R, not just its appearance. There is no type approval for the OBT009; we say that plainly rather than bury it. On a registered CB 650 R, clarify the change with your inspection body, and let a workshop bleed and test the system after fitting.

Specifications

Brand: LighTech

Part number: OBT009

Type: Reservoir bracket, rear

Height: 28.9 mm

Projection: 31 mm

Material: Anodised aluminium

Finish: Black only

Fits reservoirs: OBT001, OBT006, OBT007

Weight: 10 g

Fitment: Honda CB 650 R (2019 to 2026)

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/v_OBT009_98524c6b-3ea5-49f7-b666-f3bdb86c5c3b.png?v=1791204026
