That is the OBT003: a 47 g bracket measuring the listed height in height and the listed projection in projection. No finish to choose: LighTech lists the OBT003 in black alone. It is among the least expensive visible changes you can make to a Z650.

Key Features

Laser-marked with the LighTech logo

Reversible — the original part goes back on the Z650 any time

Black anodised — LighTech makes this bracket in no other finish

Covers the Z650 across 11 model years (2016 to 2026)

It is the smallest line on the order

A stock LighTech item rather than a special order

The Mount Decides the Fit

Two brackets exist for a reason: height and projection differ front to rear. LighTech dimensions the OBT003 to the listed height by the listed projection so the hose run stays short on the Z650. Black is the only finish LighTech makes it in.

Compatibility

The listing is for the Z650 and the years 2016 to 2026. Mounting is simple, but where it ends up on the Z650 is your decision, not a fixed point.

Looking After It

Vibration finds every loose fastener on the Z650 eventually. The OBT003 needs no maintenance of its own beyond that.

Fitting

The OBT003 replaces an existing part on the Z650 rather than adding one. Offer the bracket up before tightening — the hose run on the Z650 decides the angle. No permanent alteration to the Z650 is involved.

The Second Part Number

No reservoir is included with the OBT003. The tank — OBT001, OBT006 or OBT007 — is a separate article. If you are starting from nothing on the Z650, you need both lines on the order.

Supplied As

One bracket per package for the Z650. Packaging carries the reference, so a second order is unambiguous.

Brake System and Road Approval

What looks like a cosmetic swap on the Z650 is a change to a safety system. Nothing in the OBT003 box constitutes a type approval. We would rather you asked your inspection body first than found out at the next test.

Specifications

Brand: LighTech

Part number: OBT003

Type: Reservoir support

Height: see description

Projection: see description

Material: Anodised aluminium

Finish: Black only

Fits reservoirs: OBT001, OBT006, OBT007

Weight: 47 g

Fitment: Kawasaki Z650 (2016 to 2026)

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/v_OBT003-B_f353cc2c-7ac0-47db-80ef-1490e4dc9470.png?v=1791206991
