The OBT003 is the rear bracket: the listed height by the listed projection, black anodised, 47 g. No finish to choose: LighTech lists the OBT003 in black alone. It is among the least expensive visible changes you can make to a Z1000SX.

Key Features

Decides where the reservoir ends up on the Z1000SX

Covers the Z1000SX across 11 model years (2010 to 2020)

The rear bracket of the pair

Fitting the OBT003 to the Z1000SX needs hand tools only

Reversible — the original part goes back on the Z1000SX any time

It is the cheapest visible change on a Z1000SX

Looking After It

Check the bracket fasteners on the Z1000SX at the same interval as the bar clamps. Nothing else about the OBT003 wears in normal use.

Position Is the Point

The bracket is the part that has to suit the Z1000SX, not the tank. Black anodised aluminium at 47 g, which is all the OBT003 needs to be. It is the smallest part of the installation.

Compatibility

This listing covers the Kawasaki Z1000SX, 2010 to 2020. Mounting is simple, but where it ends up on the Z1000SX is your decision, not a fixed point.

Mounting It

Fitting the OBT003 to a Z1000SX is a hand-tool job. Offer the bracket up before tightening — the hose run on the Z1000SX decides the angle. Instructions are in the box; the Z1000SX needs no modification.

What You Get

LighTech ships the OBT003 on its own. Spares are listed under their own numbers rather than bundled.

Order This With It

The OBT003 is a bracket and nothing else. It is made for the LighTech reservoir range and fits none of the original parts. If you are starting from nothing on the Z1000SX, you need both lines on the order.

Approval and Safety

Replacing a reservoir touches the brake system of the Z1000SX, not just its appearance. The OBT003 carries no approval mark. We would rather you asked your inspection body first than found out at the next test.

Specifications

Brand: LighTech

Part number: OBT003

Type: Reservoir support

Height: see description

Projection: see description

Material: Anodised aluminium

Finish: Black only

Fits reservoirs: OBT001, OBT006, OBT007

Weight: 47 g

Fitment: Kawasaki Z1000SX (2010 to 2020)

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/v_OBT003-B_5fb7166a-0519-44fd-9a76-70d1b61b72e0.png?v=1791206956
