LighTech's OBT003 carries the reservoir at the listed height height and the listed projection out from the mount. No finish to choose: LighTech lists the OBT003 in black alone. It is among the least expensive visible changes you can make to a CBR 1000 RR.

Key Features

Supplied individually for the CBR 1000 RR

Black anodised — LighTech makes this bracket in no other finish

A stock LighTech item rather than a special order

It is the cheapest visible change on a CBR 1000 RR

It is the smallest line on the order

Nothing on the CBR 1000 RR is drilled, cut or permanently altered

The Mount Decides the Fit

Position decides whether the hose runs clean or kinks on a CBR 1000 RR. The OBT003 is the rear of the two brackets, measuring the listed height and the listed projection. One bracket per reservoir — the CBR 1000 RR needs the tank ordered alongside.

Mounting It

Fitting the OBT003 to a CBR 1000 RR is a hand-tool job. Offer the bracket up before tightening — the hose run on the CBR 1000 RR decides the angle. Keep the original parts — the change is fully reversible on the CBR 1000 RR.

What It Fits

LighTech lists the OBT003 for the Honda CBR 1000 RR. LighTech lists it as adaptable rather than model-specific, so check the position on the CBR 1000 RR first.

Scope of Delivery

LighTech ships the OBT003 on its own. The part number is all you need to quote for a repeat order on the CBR 1000 RR.

Care and Checks

Vibration finds every loose fastener on the CBR 1000 RR eventually. Beyond that the OBT003 asks nothing of you.

The Second Part Number

LighTech sells this mount on its own. The tank — OBT001, OBT006 or OBT007 — is a separate article. Ask us and we will pair it with the right reservoir for your CBR 1000 RR.

Regulations and the Hydraulic Circuit

The hydraulic circuit is the one area where a styling part stops being a styling part. The OBT003 carries no approval mark. Road use on the CBR 1000 RR means two steps: clarify it beforehand, test it afterwards.

Technical Data

Brand: LighTech

Part number: OBT003

Type: Reservoir support

Height: see description

Projection: see description

Material: Anodised aluminium

Finish: Black only

Fits reservoirs: OBT001, OBT006, OBT007

Weight: 47 g

Fitment: Honda CBR 1000 RR (2004 to 2019)

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/v_OBT003-B_02257048-8ace-4770-bfe4-7e11f8fa7a0e.png?v=1791206885
