The LighTech OBT008 is that bracket — 60.6 mm tall with 90.3 mm of projection, 10 g. One finish only: black, as LighTech supplies it. LighTech lists it for the MT-07; mounting is straightforward and reversible.

Key Features

LighTech part number OBT008, listed for the Yamaha MT-07

It is the smallest line on the order

10 g on the MT-07

Sold separately from the reservoir, as LighTech supplies it

Nothing on the MT-07 is drilled, cut or permanently altered

Supplied individually for the MT-07

Position Is the Point

Position decides whether the hose runs clean or kinks on an MT-07. LighTech dimensions the OBT008 to 60.6 mm by 90.3 mm so the hose run stays short on the MT-07. It fits the LighTech reservoirs OBT001, OBT006 and OBT007 and is sold without any of them.

Maintenance

Check the bracket fasteners on the MT-07 at the same interval as the bar clamps. Nothing else about the OBT008 wears in normal use.

Compatibility

The listing is for the MT-07 and the years 2013 to 2026. LighTech lists it as adaptable rather than model-specific, so check the position on the MT-07 first.

Order This With It

LighTech sells this mount on its own. It is made for the LighTech reservoir range and fits none of the original parts. If you are starting from nothing on the MT-07, you need both lines on the order.

Installation

Allow half an hour on the MT-07 including bleeding. Offer the bracket up before tightening — the hose run on the MT-07 decides the angle. Re-check the fasteners after the first ride.

What Is in the Box

LighTech ships the OBT008 on its own. The part number is all you need to quote for a repeat order on the MT-07.

Brake System and Road Approval

Replacing a reservoir touches the brake system of the MT-07, not just its appearance. There is no type approval for the OBT008; we say that plainly rather than bury it. Track-only machines raise no approval question; a registered MT-07 does.

Specifications

Brand: LighTech

Part number: OBT008

Type: Reservoir bracket, front

Height: 60.6 mm

Projection: 90.3 mm

Material: Anodised aluminium

Finish: Black only

Fits reservoirs: OBT001, OBT006, OBT007

Weight: 10 g

Fitment: Yamaha MT-07 (2013 to 2026)

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/v_OBT008NER_8c3aa3d5-cc55-4990-9f1c-a34e3e4f7e67.png?v=1791205195
