The OBT008 is the front bracket: 60.6 mm by 90.3 mm, black anodised, 10 g. Black anodised, and black is the whole range for the OBT008. It goes onto the GSX-R 1000 without modification and comes off again just as easily.

Key Features

Black anodised — LighTech makes this bracket in no other finish

Sold separately from the reservoir, as LighTech supplies it

It is the smallest line on the order

60.6 mm in height, 90.3 mm of projection

Steel-free so nothing corrodes into the GSX-R 1000 fitting

Laser-marked with the LighTech logo

Position Is the Point

A reservoir that is not held properly is a reservoir that moves. The OBT008 is the front of the two brackets, measuring 60.6 mm and 90.3 mm. Black is the only finish LighTech makes it in.

Application

Fitment is the GSX-R 1000 across 2007 to 2026. The bracket carries the reservoir; check the space on your GSX-R 1000 before deciding front or rear.

Maintenance

Anodised aluminium takes brake cleaner badly; keep it off the OBT008. Otherwise it is a fit-and-forget item on the GSX-R 1000.

In the Workshop

Fitting the OBT008 to a GSX-R 1000 is a hand-tool job. Check steering lock on the GSX-R 1000 once the tank is in place. Nothing on the GSX-R 1000 is drilled or cut.

Before You Order

The OBT008 is a bracket and nothing else. The tank — OBT001, OBT006 or OBT007 — is a separate article. Ask us and we will pair it with the right reservoir for your GSX-R 1000.

In the Package

One bracket per package for the GSX-R 1000. LighTech keeps it as a stock item.

Approval and Safety

On a GSX-R 1000 this component carries brake or clutch fluid under pressure. No approval paperwork comes with the OBT008 and we do not present it as approved. If the GSX-R 1000 is used on public roads, treat this as a brake-system modification: inspection body first, workshop check after.

Specifications

Brand: LighTech

Part number: OBT008

Type: Reservoir bracket, front

Height: 60.6 mm

Projection: 90.3 mm

Material: Anodised aluminium

Finish: Black only

Fits reservoirs: OBT001, OBT006, OBT007

Weight: 10 g

Fitment: Suzuki GSX-R 1000 (2007 to 2026)

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/v_OBT008NER_4f535163-8d01-4659-afa2-b4fd49dc730e.png?v=1791205100
