The OBT008 sets the reservoir position on the CBR650R at 60.6 mm and 90.3 mm. Black is the only finish this bracket exists in. On a 649 cc machine like the CBR650R it is the cheapest cockpit change available.

Key Features

LighTech part number OBT008, listed for the Honda CBR650R

Supplied individually for the CBR650R

The OBT008 is machined from solid, not cast or pressed

Simple, intuitive mounting — LighTech's own description, and it holds

The front bracket of the pair

It is the smallest line on the order

Why the Bracket Matters

A reservoir that is not held properly is a reservoir that moves. LighTech dimensions the OBT008 to 60.6 mm by 90.3 mm so the hose run stays short on the CBR650R. It fits the LighTech reservoirs OBT001, OBT006 and OBT007 and is sold without any of them.

Fitment and Compatibility

LighTech catalogues the OBT008 for the CBR650R (2021 to 2026). It is an adaptable bracket, not a Honda part — measure the space on the CBR650R first.

Installation

Allow half an hour on the CBR650R including bleeding. Offer the bracket up before tightening — the hose run on the CBR650R decides the angle. The original part goes back on the CBR650R any time.

Care and Checks

Vibration finds every loose fastener on the CBR650R eventually. Beyond that the OBT008 asks nothing of you.

What Is in the Box

LighTech ships the OBT008 on its own. Packaging carries the reference, so a second order is unambiguous.

Before You Order

The OBT008 is a bracket and nothing else. It carries the OBT reservoir family (001, 006 and 007), which are ordered separately. Ask us and we will pair it with the right reservoir for your CBR650R.

Approval and Safety

A fluid reservoir is part of the braking system, and German law treats it that way. There is no type approval for the OBT008; we say that plainly rather than bury it. We would rather you asked your inspection body first than found out at the next test.

Technical Data

Brand: LighTech

Part number: OBT008

Type: Reservoir bracket, front

Height: 60.6 mm

Projection: 90.3 mm

Material: Anodised aluminium

Finish: Black only

Fits reservoirs: OBT001, OBT006, OBT007

Weight: 10 g

Fitment: Honda CBR650R (2021 to 2026)

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/v_OBT008NER_755c7127-fe3c-40dd-8376-b0316afc26f6.png?v=1791204940
