The LighTech OBT008 is that bracket — 60.6 mm tall with 90.3 mm of projection, 10 g. There is no colour choice here — the OBT008 is black. On a 1198 cc machine like the MONSTER 1200 R it is the cheapest cockpit change available.

Key Features

Covers the MONSTER 1200 R across 8 model years (2014 to 2021)

10 g on the MONSTER 1200 R

Fits the LighTech reservoirs LighTech's OBT001, OBT006 and OBT007 tanks

It is the cheapest visible change on a MONSTER 1200 R

The OBT008 is machined from solid, not cast or pressed

60.6 mm in height, 90.3 mm of projection

The Mount Decides the Fit

The bracket is the part that has to suit the MONSTER 1200 R, not the tank. LighTech dimensions the OBT008 to 60.6 mm by 90.3 mm so the hose run stays short on the MONSTER 1200 R. It fits the LighTech reservoirs OBT001, OBT006 and OBT007 and is sold without any of them.

Maintenance

Vibration finds every loose fastener on the MONSTER 1200 R eventually. The bracket carries the reservoir; check the space on your MONSTER 1200 R before deciding front or rear.

Sold Separately

No reservoir is included with the OBT008. It is made for the LighTech reservoir range and fits none of the original parts. A complete installation on the MONSTER 1200 R is one tank plus one bracket.

Mounting It

Installation on the MONSTER 1200 R needs no special service tool. Check steering lock on the MONSTER 1200 R once the tank is in place. The OBT008 leaves no trace on the MONSTER 1200 R if you take it off again.

Supplied As

LighTech ships the OBT008 on its own. There is no type approval for the OBT008; we say that plainly rather than bury it. We would rather you asked your inspection body first than found out at the next test.

Specifications

Brand: LighTech

Part number: OBT008

Type: Reservoir bracket, front

Height: 60.6 mm

Projection: 90.3 mm

Material: Anodised aluminium

Finish: Black only

Fits reservoirs: OBT001, OBT006, OBT007

Weight: 10 g

Fitment: Ducati MONSTER 1200 R (2014 to 2021)

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/v_OBT008NER_5849c73a-b36f-4a81-9485-28b44e837e74.png?v=1791204761
https://inter-pace.com/products/lightech-reservoir-bracket-front-ducati-monster-1200-r-2014-2021-obt008
