The OBT003 sets the reservoir position on the S1000R at the listed height and the listed projection. LighTech makes the OBT003 in black only. Fitting it to an S1000R is a job of minutes, not hours.

Key Features

The rear bracket of the pair

Reversible — the original part goes back on the S1000R any time

47 g of bracket on the S1000R

Simple, intuitive mounting — LighTech's own description, and it holds

Made in Italy

Supplied individually for the S1000R

Why the Bracket Matters

Two brackets exist for a reason: height and projection differ front to rear. The OBT003 sets the reservoir at the listed height height with the listed projection of projection. One bracket per reservoir — the S1000R needs the tank ordered alongside.

Application

The listing is for the S1000R and the years 2013 to 2026. It is an adaptable bracket, not a BMW part — measure the space on the S1000R first.

Mounting It

Allow half an hour on the S1000R including bleeding. Check steering lock on the S1000R once the tank is in place. Instructions are in the box; the S1000R needs no modification.

Maintenance

Vibration finds every loose fastener on the S1000R eventually. There is no service interval for the part itself.

Supplied As

The OBT003 is supplied as a single bracket with its fasteners. The part number is all you need to quote for a repeat order on the S1000R.

The Second Part Number

The OBT003 is a bracket and nothing else. It carries the OBT reservoir family (001, 006 and 007), which are ordered separately. If you are starting from nothing on the S1000R, you need both lines on the order.

Road Use and Approval

What looks like a cosmetic swap on the S1000R is a change to a safety system. No approval paperwork comes with the OBT003 and we do not present it as approved. Track-only machines raise no approval question; a registered S1000R does.

Technical Data

Brand: LighTech

Part number: OBT003

Type: Reservoir support

Height: see description

Projection: see description

Material: Anodised aluminium

Finish: Black only

Fits reservoirs: OBT001, OBT006, OBT007

Weight: 47 g

Fitment: BMW S1000R (2013 to 2026)

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/v_OBT003-B_d98b995f-a508-4ce5-965c-4e11d29b092d.png?v=1791206689
