LighTech builds the ISS200RT from a carbon-graphite polymer that beats aluminium on strength per gram. There are 7 bush colours to pick from, listed under the technical data. On a 999 cc machine like the CBR 1000 RR-R SP it is the least expensive insurance available.

Key Features

Mounts at the bar end, where the CBR 1000 RR-R SP has the clearance for it

Listed for the CBR 1000 RR-R SP specifically rather than as a universal fit

Made in Italy

Original CBR 1000 RR-R SP controls stay exactly where they are

132 mm guard length — check it against your CBR 1000 RR-R SP before ordering

Bar-end weights come off the CBR 1000 RR-R SP; nothing else does

Fitment and Compatibility

Fitment is the Honda CBR 1000 RR-R SP across 2020 to 2026. Bar-end weights have to come off the CBR 1000 RR-R SP before the guard goes on.

In the Workshop

No special tool is involved in fitting the ISS200RT to the CBR 1000 RR-R SP. Leave the final torque until the angle is right; the guard should sit parallel to the lever. The original controls of the CBR 1000 RR-R SP stay in place throughout.

What the Guard Prevents

A brake lever guard has one job, and it is not cosmetic. When another machine touches the lever of a CBR 1000 RR-R SP, the lever moves and the front wheel locks. At 39.6 g the ISS200RT adds less to the CBR 1000 RR-R SP than the bar-end weight it replaces.

The Adapter Option

A LighTech lever guard does not mount without its adapter. The adapter is what carries the guard, so it is chosen by the bar, not by the guard. The adapter the CBR 1000 RR-R SP takes is KPL306; it is preselected in the “Adapter” option, which makes the order a complete installation. Already running KPL306? Then “Without Adapter” is the value for you.

Scope of Delivery

The ISS200RT comes as a single side; order twice for the whole handlebar. With the preselected “Adapter” value, the adapter for the CBR 1000 RR-R SP arrives in the same delivery as the ISS200RT. The ISS200RT number is the only thing to quote for a repeat order.

Approval and Track Rules

On track the brake lever guard is usually not optional. The ISS200RT comes without approval paperwork for road use. For road use on a CBR 1000 RR-R SP in Germany, clarify with your inspection body whether the fitted guard is acceptable.

Specifications

Brand: LighTech

Part number: ISS200RT

Type: GC-Tech brake lever guard

Material: Technical polymer, carbon and graphite filled

Guard weight: 39.6 g

Guard length: 132 mm

Origin: Made in Italy

Bush colours: 7 — Black, Blue, Gold, Green, Grey, Orange, Red

Weight: 110 g

Supplied as: Single item

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/v_ISS200RTNER_07b6d0ba-65cb-439d-acc0-446afd4c693d.png?v=1791966321
https://inter-pace.com/products/lightech-gc-tech-brake-lever-guard-132-mm-honda-cbr-1000-rr-r-sp-2020-2026-iss200rt
