LighTech's ISS200RT answers it in GC-Tech polymer — stronger than aluminium, lighter at 39.6 g, 132 mm guard length across. LighTech makes the bushes in 7 finishes for this guard. On a 1285 cc machine like the Panigale 1299 it is the least expensive insurance available.

Key Features

132 mm guard length — check it against your Panigale 1299 before ordering

Covers the Panigale 1299 across 7 model years (2012 to 2018)

Bush colour is the only choice to make on the ISS200RT

No drilling and no cutting on the Panigale 1299

Made in Italy

The ISS200RT is a stock item, not a special order

What You Get

The ISS200RT comes as a single side; order twice for the whole handlebar. Spare end caps and bushes are listed under their own numbers. LighTech keeps the ISS200RT in its spare-parts programme rather than treating it as disposable.

What the Guard Prevents

Two bikes touching at 1285 cc speed is survivable; a locked front wheel often is not. LighTech builds the ISS200RT from a polymer filled with carbon and graphite rather than from aluminium. At 39.6 g the ISS200RT adds less to the Panigale 1299 than the bar-end weight it replaces.

Fitment

Fitment is the Ducati Panigale 1299 across 2012 to 2018. No part of the Panigale 1299 is drilled or cut; the guard mounts at the bar end.

Fitting

Installation on the Panigale 1299 starts with removing the bar-end weight. Check full steering lock on the Panigale 1299 before you ride — the guard must not touch the tank or screen. Mirrors and bar-end weights have to come off the Panigale 1299 first.

The Adapter Option

One thing to settle before ordering the ISS200RT: the adapter. Without the matching adapter the ISS200RT has nothing to bolt to on the Panigale 1299. For this bike the adapter is KPL318, preselected as “With Adapter KPL318” in the option above. Only where KPL318 is already fitted does “Without Adapter” make sense on the Panigale 1299.

Regulations and Road Use

Many organisers now check for a brake lever guard before a Panigale 1299 goes onto the circuit. The ISS200RT comes without approval paperwork for road use. For road use on a Panigale 1299 in Germany, clarify with your inspection body whether the fitted guard is acceptable.

Technical Data

Brand: LighTech

Part number: ISS200RT

Type: GC-Tech brake lever guard

Material: Technical polymer, carbon and graphite filled

Guard weight: 39.6 g

Guard length: 132 mm

Origin: Made in Italy

Bush colours: 7 — Black, Blue, Gold, Green, Grey, Orange, Red

Weight: 110 g

Supplied as: Single item

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/v_ISS200RTNER_b3716c97-f557-4144-831d-4294464ee77e.png?v=1791966261
https://inter-pace.com/products/lightech-gc-tech-brake-lever-guard-132-mm-ducati-panigale-1299-2012-2018-iss200rt
