The OBT007 is machined from solid, laser-engraved with the LighTech logo, and holds 16 cm³. The shell comes in 8 anodised colours. It changes the part of the Panigale 1199 the rider looks at most.

Key Features

8 colours, all at the same price

The mounting bracket is a separate LighTech item — see the note below

106 g on the Panigale 1199

Colour is the only choice to make on the OBT007

Made in Italy

Replaces the original plastic reservoir of the Panigale 1199

The Case for Billet

Reservoirs are a styling part for most riders and a maintenance part for the rest. The OBT007 comes with a rubber gasket under the cap, which is what keeps fluid where it belongs. Anodised rather than painted, so washing the Panigale 1199 does not dull it.

Compatibility

LighTech catalogues the OBT007 for the Panigale 1199 (2012 to 2017). This is not a model-specific casting — LighTech makes one reservoir and lets the mounting decide the fit.

Mounting It

The OBT007 replaces an existing part on the Panigale 1199 rather than adding one. Use fresh fluid of the grade the Panigale 1199 specifies, not what is left in the bottle. Everything removed from the Panigale 1199 can go straight back on.

Care and Checks

A translucent liner only helps if you look at it; make the OBT007 part of the pre-ride check. Beyond that the OBT007 asks nothing of you.

Scope of Delivery

The OBT007 arrives as the tank, the cap and the gasket. Spares are listed under their own numbers rather than bundled.

What You Also Need

The OBT007 is supplied without a bracket. The brackets are listed under OBT003, OBT008 and OBT009; they differ in height and projection, not in quality. Order the OBT007 together with a bracket and the Panigale 1199 installation is complete.

Regulations and the Hydraulic Circuit

What looks like a cosmetic swap on the Panigale 1199 is a change to a safety system. The OBT007 is sold without approval documentation of any kind. Ask your inspection body about the Panigale 1199 before fitting, and do not skip the bleed.

Specifications

Brand: LighTech

Part number: OBT007

Type: Brake/clutch fluid reservoir

Capacity: 16 cm³

Shell: Billet aluminium, anodised

Liner: Translucent plastic

Seal: Rubber gasket under the cap

Bracket: Not included — OBT003 / OBT008 / OBT009

Colours: 8 — Black, Blue, Gold, Green, Grey, Orange, Red, Silver

Weight: 106 g

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/v_OBT007NER_8c985009-ab7d-4f05-9609-41ae376a07a7.png?v=1791205565
