That is what the ISS116LC answers: a 132 mm carbon guard in front of the clutch lever of the ZX-4 RR. This is the left-side guard; the brake side is a separate article. It is a stock LighTech item, not a special order. It protects the control that decides whether the ZX-4 RR stays upright.

Key Features

Sold individually; the coloured end piece is also available on its own

8 anodised colours: Black, Blue, Gold, Green, Grey, Orange, Red, Silver

Carbon keeps the added mass at the bar end low

Covers the ZX-4 RR across 3 model years (2024 to 2026)

Listed for the Kawasaki ZX-4 RR

LighTech part number ISS116LC

Material and Finish

The arm is carbon because mass at the bar end is what a rider feels. 119 g is what LighTech lists for it. It is made in Italy, which LighTech marks on the part where there is room.

Why a Lever Guard

The clutch lever is the control that gets hit and nobody plans for. The coloured end of the ISS116LC is laser-engraved and can be ordered on its own. The matching adapter is preselected in the “Adapter” option, so it ships with the guard.

What It Fits

Fitment is the ZX-4 RR across 2024 to 2026. The guard is common to many machines; the adapter is what makes it fit the ZX-4 RR. The data comes from LighTech; the final check happens on the motorcycle.

The Adapter Option

LighTech makes the ISS116LC as the guard only; here the adapter is part of the same order. Handlebar bores differ between models, so the adapter is chosen by the bar of the ZX-4 RR. For the ZX-4 RR that is KPL304, and it is already selected under the option “Adapter”, so guard and adapter arrive together. Only where KPL304 is already fitted does “Without Adapter” make sense on the ZX-4 RR.

Mounting It

Installation needs no special tools. Clean the threads before assembly and do not force anything. Nothing on the ZX-4 RR is altered permanently.

What Is in the Box

The ISS116LC is supplied individually. A matched pair on the ZX-4 RR means two guards and two adapters.

Approval and Road Use

No German registration document accompanies the ISS116LC. An added part on the ZX-4 RR can come up at a technical inspection. Ask before you fit it to a registered ZX-4 RR.

The Data

Brand: LighTech

Part number: ISS116LC

Type: Carbon clutch lever guard

Body: Carbon

End piece: Anodised aluminium, laser-engraved

Guard length: 132 mm, bar end to centre of tip

Mounting side: Left

Adapter: KPL304 — preselected option

Colours: 8 — Black, Blue, Gold, Green, Grey, Orange, Red, Silver

Origin: Made in Italy

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/v_ISS116NER_c8805f_2f7b9d05-1f37-4357-88dc-a331219b695c.png?v=1791892088
https://inter-pace.com/products/lightech-carbon-clutch-lever-guard-132-mm-kawasaki-zx-4-rr-2024-2026-iss116lc
