LighTech builds the ISS116LC from carbon for the body and aluminium for the coloured tip. This is the left-side guard; the brake side is a separate article. It is a stock LighTech item, not a special order. Made in Italy, like the rest of the range.

Key Features

100 % Made in Italy

Sold individually; the coloured end piece is also available on its own

Listed for the Kawasaki ZX-10 R

119 g

Mounts on the left-hand side of the ZX-10 R

LighTech part number ISS116LC

What the Guard Prevents

Contact at the bars is not rare; it is just unplanned. At 119 g the ISS116LC adds very little to the left bar end of the ZX-10 R. Sold individually, so a pair on the ZX-10 R is two part numbers.

The Adapter Option

The ISS116LC needs one more item before it can go on the ZX-10 R. The mount screws into the bar from the inside, which is why the bore decides it. The “Adapter” option names the part for the ZX-10 R: KPL304, preselected — one guard, one adapter. Already running KPL304? Then “Without Adapter” is the value for you.

Material and Finish

Carbon carries the load here; aluminium only forms the coloured tip. LighTech gives the weight as 119 g. LighTech manufactures it in Italy.

Supplied As

LighTech ships the ISS116LC as a single item. A matched pair on the ZX-10 R means two guards and two adapters.

Fitment and Compatibility

LighTech lists the ISS116LC for the Kawasaki ZX-10 R. Check that the ZX-10 R still has its standard handlebar — an aftermarket bar takes a different adapter. The data comes from LighTech; the final check happens on the motorcycle.

In the Workshop

Installation needs no special tools. Work to the torque figures of the ZX-10 R; overtightening is the usual mistake. Removal takes as long as fitting did.

Approval and Road Use

LighTech supplies no type-approval document with the ISS116LC. Whether it is accepted on your ZX-10 R is for the inspection body to decide. For a road-registered ZX-10 R, clarify it with your inspection body before fitting.

Specifications

Brand: LighTech

Part number: ISS116LC

Type: Carbon clutch lever guard

Body: Carbon

End piece: Anodised aluminium, laser-engraved

Guard length: 132 mm, bar end to centre of tip

Mounting side: Left

Adapter: KPL304 — preselected option

Colours: 8 — Black, Blue, Gold, Green, Grey, Orange, Red, Silver

Origin: Made in Italy

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/v_ISS116NER_c8805f_9f668abc-5246-4cda-b8a3-f75734f00c94.png?v=1791892078
https://inter-pace.com/products/lightech-carbon-clutch-lever-guard-132-mm-kawasaki-zx-10-r-2011-2026-iss116lc
