LighTech's ISS115RC brings real carbon to the brake side of the GSX-R 1000 at 113 g. 8 bush finishes exist for the ISS115RC, all at the same price. It is listed by LighTech for the GSX-R 1000 and sold individually.

Key Features

No drilling and no cutting on the GSX-R 1000

8 bush finishes for the GSX-R 1000: Black, Blue, Gold, Green, Grey, Orange, Red, Silver

Meets the lever-guard requirement most organisers apply to a GSX-R 1000 on track

LighTech part number ISS115RC, catalogued for the Suzuki GSX-R 1000

Listed for the GSX-R 1000 specifically rather than as a universal fit

LighTech's own geometry, not a generic bar-end part

Why Carbon Here

A brake guard has to be stiff and light, which is what carbon is for. The ISS115RC is a carbon bridge across 132 mm guard length in front of the brake lever. At 113 g it is the lightest guard LighTech offers for the GSX-R 1000.

Installation

The ISS115RC mounts at the bar end of the GSX-R 1000; the controls stay where they are. Re-check the fasteners after the first ride, as with anything at the bar end. Mirrors and bar-end weights have to come off the GSX-R 1000 first.

Fitment and Compatibility

LighTech's fitment for the ISS115RC is the GSX-R 1000 (2005 to 2023). Fitting needs the correct adapter for the GSX-R 1000 — see the note below.

Before You Order

There is a second part number involved in fitting the ISS115RC. Adapters are not interchangeable between models; the Suzuki GSX-R 1000 has its own. The part number you need alongside it is KPL309 (2005-2023) or KPL327 (2017-2023), by model year. All two are values of the “Adapter” option — “With Adapter KPL309 (2005-2023)” comes preselected, so check it against the year of your GSX-R 1000. Riders who keep their adapter and only renew the ISS115RC on the GSX-R 1000 choose “Without Adapter”.

Supplied As

The ISS115RC is supplied as one guard for one side of the GSX-R 1000. Bushes are part of the guard; the adapter for the GSX-R 1000 is the value chosen under “Adapter”. The ISS115RC number is the only thing to quote for a repeat order.

Regulations and Road Use

Many organisers now check for a brake lever guard before a GSX-R 1000 goes onto the circuit. The ISS115RC comes without approval paperwork for road use. If the GSX-R 1000 carries a plate, settle the question before fitting.

Specifications

Brand: LighTech

Part
