LighTech lays the ISS115RC up in carbon and keeps it to 113 g. The guard body is fixed; only the bushes vary, in 8 colours. Sold individually, so a ZX-6R needs one per side if you want both covered.

Key Features

Original ZX-6R controls stay exactly where they are

Carbon keeps the mass at the bar end of the ZX-6R to a minimum

LighTech's own geometry, not a generic bar-end part

LighTech part number ISS115RC, catalogued for the Kawasaki ZX-6R

It costs less than the lever it protects on a ZX-6R

Supplied with the instructions the ZX-6R fitting needs

Mass at the Bar End

Weight at the bar end of a ZX-6R is the worst place to carry it. The ISS115RC holds the lever of the ZX-6R clear at 132 mm guard length without adding mass. Carbon does not bend back once it has let go — that is the trade for the weight.

Compatibility and Installation

Catalogued by LighTech for the ZX-6R and nothing else in this listing. The guard mounts to the bar end of the ZX-6R via the matching LighTech adapter.

Supplied As

What arrives is one complete guard assembly for the ZX-6R. Spare end caps and bushes are listed under their own numbers. If the ZX-6R needs a replacement later, nothing else has to come off.

In the Workshop

Allow a quarter of an hour per side on the ZX-6R the first time. Re-check the fasteners after the first ride, as with anything at the bar end. The original controls of the ZX-6R stay in place throughout.

Choosing the Adapter

One thing to settle before ordering the ISS115RC: the adapter. Every motorcycle takes the adapter matched to its own handlebar bore, and the ZX-6R is no exception. The part you need alongside it is KPL304, and the “Adapter” option adds it to the order by default. Riders who keep their KPL304 and only renew the ISS115RC on the ZX-6R choose “Without Adapter”.

Road Approval and Regulations

On track the brake lever guard is usually not optional. We list the ISS115RC without an approval claim because LighTech issues none. If the ZX-6R carries a plate, settle the question before fitting.

Technical Data

Brand: LighTech

Part number: ISS115RC

Type: Carbon brake lever guard

Material: Carbon

Guard length: 132 mm

Bush colours: 8 — Black, Blue, Gold, Green, Grey, Orange, Red, Silver

Weight: 113 g

Supplied as: Single item

Fitment: Kawasaki ZX-6R (2005 to 2026)

Road approval: None supplied

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/v_ISS115NER_d605c80b-39f3-41bb-998e-e9d86901dcee.png?v=1791202864
https://inter-pace.com/products/lightech-carbon-brake-lever-guard-132-mm-kawasaki-zx-6r-2005-2026-iss115rc
