The ISS115RC is a carbon-bodied brake guard spanning 132 mm guard length. 8 bush finishes exist for the ISS115RC, all at the same price. It is listed by LighTech for the RS 457 and sold individually.

Key Features

Made in Italy

Mounts at the bar end, where the RS 457 has the clearance for it

Meets the lever-guard requirement most organisers apply to an RS 457 on track

Colour changes the look of the RS 457, not the fit

It costs less than the lever it protects on an RS 457

Supplied with the instructions the RS 457 fitting needs

Compatibility and Installation

This listing covers the Aprilia RS 457, 2024 to 2026. No part of the RS 457 is drilled or cut; the guard mounts at the bar end.

Installation

No special tool is involved in fitting the ISS115RC to the RS 457. Check full steering lock on the RS 457 before you ride — the guard must not touch the tank or screen. Mirrors and bar-end weights have to come off the RS 457 first.

Mass at the Bar End

Carbon at the bar end of an RS 457 is about mass as much as strength. The ISS115RC is a carbon bridge across 132 mm guard length in front of the brake lever. Carbon does not bend back once it has let go — that is the trade for the weight.

Choosing the Adapter

The ISS115RC needs one more item before it can go on the RS 457. It mounts to the RS 457 through a bar-specific adapter, because handlebar internal diameters differ between models. For this bike the adapter is KPL331, preselected as “With Adapter KPL331” in the option above. “Without Adapter” is only for riders who already have KPL331 on the bar.

What You Get

The ISS115RC is supplied as one guard for one side of the RS 457. A matched pair on the RS 457 means two guards and two adapters. If the RS 457 needs a replacement later, nothing else has to come off.

Regulations and Road Use

Many organisers now check for a brake lever guard before an RS 457 goes onto the circuit. We list the ISS115RC without an approval claim because LighTech issues none. Check your own series regulations for the exact requirement; they differ.

Technical Data

Brand: LighTech

Part number: ISS115RC

Type: Carbon brake lever guard

Material: Carbon

Guard length: 132 mm

Bush colours: 8 — Black, Blue, Gold, Green, Grey, Orange, Red, Silver

Weight: 113 g

Supplied as: Single item

Fitment: Aprilia RS 457 (2024 to 2026)

Road approval: None supplied

https://inter-pace.com/products/lightech-carbon-brake-lever-guard-132-mm-aprilia-rs-457-2024-2026-iss115rc
