The LighTech CAP001 is the cap set for the balancers and spools on the Z500 — anodised aluminium, sold in pairs. Made in Italy, like the rest of the range. LighTech lists it for the Z500.

Key Features

4 anodised colours: Black, Gold, Orange, Silver

LighTech logo in the centre, marked Made in Italy

A stock LighTech item, not a special order

Required to assemble a LighTech 400-series bar on the Z500

100 % Made in Italy

Closes the open end of handlebar balancers and swing arm spools

Small Parts, Visible Result

An open bore is where dirt collects. The CAP001 is supplied as a pair and needs no modification to fit. One pair covers both ends.

Fitment

LighTech catalogues the CAP001 for the Z500 (2024 to 2026). For LighTech's 400-series handlebars they are not optional. The part number CAP001 is the binding reference, not the model name.

How It Is Made

The anodised layer is part of the metal, not a coating on top of it. At 26 g it adds very little to the Z500. Italian production, like the rest of the catalogue.

Installation

The CAP001 goes on last, once the balancer or spool is tight. Clean the threads before assembly and do not force anything. Inspect it at every service of the Z500.

Sold in Pairs

One order of the CAP001 is two caps. On the Z500 balancers and spools each need their own pair. A LighTech 400-series bar on the Z500 cannot be assembled without them.

Supplied As

Two pieces per box. No balancers and no spools are included.

Approval and Road Use

There is no ABE and no Teilegutachten for the CAP001. Practice differs between regions, and the Z500 is judged by the inspector in front of it. For a road-registered Z500, clarify it with your inspection body before fitting.

The Data

Brand: LighTech

Part number: CAP001

Type: Cap set for balancers and spools

Material: Anodised aluminium

Marking: LighTech logo, Made in Italy

Supplied as: Pair

Use: Handlebar balancers and swing arm spools

Colours: 4 — Black, Gold, Orange, Silver

Origin: Made in Italy

Weight: 26 g

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/v_CAP001NER_b96577_ce9b770b-a4ec-437f-a762-7cbcec8e6467.png?v=1791892854
https://inter-pace.com/products/lightech-caps-for-balancers-and-spools-kawasaki-z500-2024-2026-cap001
