LighTech cuts the ISS114LA from solid and anodises the end that meets the road. The bushes are offered in 8 finishes — the full list is in the specifications below. The 776 cc GSX-8R takes it on the standard bar with the matching adapter.

Key Features

Original GSX-8R controls stay exactly where they are

Sold individually — a GSX-8R needs one per side for full cover

It costs less than the lever it protects on a GSX-8R

Mounts at the bar end, where the GSX-8R has the clearance for it

The anodised end is the wear part and is renewed on its own

Bar-end weights come off the GSX-8R; nothing else does

The Case for a Machined Guard

A machined guard on a GSX-8R buys stiffness a moulded part cannot. Machining lets LighTech hold the 148 mm guard length dimension that the GSX-8R bar needs. On the GSX-8R the extra grams buy a guard that does not give.

What You Get

One guard per box — the GSX-8R takes two for a matched pair. A matched pair on the GSX-8R means two guards and two adapters. LighTech keeps the ISS114LA in its spare-parts programme rather than treating it as disposable.

Compatibility and Installation

LighTech's fitment for the ISS114LA is the GSX-8R (2023 to 2026). Fitting needs the correct adapter for the GSX-8R — see the note below.

Fitting It to the Bike

The ISS114LA mounts at the bar end of the GSX-8R; the controls stay where they are. Re-check the fasteners after the first ride, as with anything at the bar end. Mirrors and bar-end weights have to come off the GSX-8R first.

Choosing the Adapter

At LighTech the guard and the adapter are two part numbers; on this page they are one choice. The mount screws into the GSX-8R bar from the inside, which is why the bore matters. For this bike the adapter is KPL335, preselected as “With Adapter KPL335” in the option above. Owners of a spare KPL335 can pick “Without Adapter” instead.

Regulations and Road Use

Regulations cover the brake side; the clutch side is the rider's decision. LighTech supplies no type approval with the ISS114LA, and we claim none. Track and paddock use raise no question.

Technical Data

Brand: LighTech

Part number: ISS114LA

Type: Aluminium clutch lever guard

Material: Machined aluminium

Guard end: Anodised

Guard length: 148 mm

Bush colours: 8 — Black, Blue, Gold, Green, Grey, Orange, Red, Silver

Weight: 160 g

Supplied as: Single item

Fitment: Suzuki GSX-8R (2023 to 2026)

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/v_ISS114LANER_5c4ef990-ded0-4d41-b802-350d14ab8c6a.png?v=1791203531
https://inter-pace.com/products/lightech-aluminium-clutch-lever-guard-148-mm-suzuki-gsx-8r-2023-2026-iss114la
