The LighTech ISS119LA is a machined aluminium clutch lever guard with an anodised end, 132 mm guard length. Colour choice runs to 8 options and changes nothing about the fit on the GSX-R1000R. It is listed by LighTech for the GSX-R1000R and sold individually.

Key Features

Mounts at the bar end, where the GSX-R1000R has the clearance for it

Made in Italy

132 mm guard length — check it against your GSX-R1000R before ordering

160 g on the bar of the GSX-R1000R

8 bush colours, all at the same price

No drilling and no cutting on the GSX-R1000R

The Case for a Machined Guard

Stiffness matters at the bar end of a GSX-R1000R more than absolute strength does. Machining lets LighTech hold the 132 mm guard length dimension that the GSX-R1000R bar needs. At 160 g it is heavier than the polymer version and stiffer for it.

Fitment and Compatibility

Fitment is the Suzuki GSX-R1000R across 2017 to 2026. Fitting needs the correct adapter for the GSX-R1000R — see the note below.

Fitting It to the Bike

No special tool is involved in fitting the ISS119LA to the GSX-R1000R. Re-check the fasteners after the first ride, as with anything at the bar end. The original controls of the GSX-R1000R stay in place throughout.

What Is in the Box

The ISS119LA comes as a single side; order twice for the whole handlebar. With the preselected “Adapter” value, the adapter for the GSX-R1000R arrives in the same delivery as the ISS119LA. If the GSX-R1000R needs a replacement later, nothing else has to come off.

The Adapter Option

The ISS119LA needs a mount that suits the bar of the GSX-R1000R. The adapter is what carries the guard, so it is chosen by the bar, not by the guard. Leave the “Adapter” option on “With Adapter KPL327” — that is the adapter for the GSX-R1000R, ordered in the same step. Already running KPL327? Then “Without Adapter” is the value for you.

Approval and Track Rules

Clutch lever guards are rarely mandated, which does not make them pointless. The ISS119LA is sold without approval paperwork. On a road-registered GSX-R1000R the fitted position is a matter for your inspection body.

Technical Data

Brand: LighTech

Part number: ISS119LA

Type: Aluminium clutch lever guard

Material: Machined aluminium

Guard end: Anodised

Guard length: 132 mm

Bush colours: 8 — Black, Blue, Gold, Green, Grey, Orange, Red, Silver

Weight: 160 g

Supplied as: Single item

Fitment: Suzuki GSX-R1000R (2017 to 2026)

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/v_ISS114LANER_62e13055-fc7f-4f40-938c-9b8d4d74e67c.png?v=1791202259
https://inter-pace.com/products/lightech-aluminium-clutch-lever-guard-132-mm-suzuki-gsx-r1000r-2017-2026-iss119la
