Built in Great Britain and proven across the most demanding circuits on earth — from British Superbike to the Isle of Man TT — the K-Tech DDS Pro rear shock absorber represents the safest, most precisely controlled suspension upgrade available for the MV Agusta F3 675 and F3 800. Its race-developed Direct Damping System delivers measurably superior chassis stability and tyre feedback, giving you the confidence to push harder whether you're on a track day or a demanding mountain road.
Key Features
- Direct Damping System (DDS) with integrated ByPass Valve (BPV) for precise low-speed damping control and maximised tyre feedback
- 5-way adjustability — compression (32 clicks), rebound (32 clicks), BPV (16 clicks), hydraulic spring preload, and length adjustment — for comprehensive setup flexibility
- Smaller DDS piston rod design ensures consistent, stable damping across a wide temperature range, reducing fade during extended track sessions
- CNC-machined high-grade components throughout, ensuring the structural integrity and longevity demanded by professional racing environments
- Potentiometer mounting points integrated into the DDS system for direct telemetry connection — track-ready from the moment it is fitted
- Wide spring rate selection (55–155 series) accommodates a broad range of rider weights and riding styles
- Race-validated in international championships including British Superbike and the Isle of Man TT
Direct Damping System — Why It Matters
The DDS Pro departs from conventional shock absorber architecture by routing damping forces through a dedicated internal bypass valve rather than relying solely on the main piston. This separation of low-speed and high-speed damping circuits means you can dial in corner-entry stability and mid-corner balance independently, without compromise. The result is a rear end that communicates clearly, reacts predictably, and inspires genuine confidence at the limit.
The BPV adjustment adds a further layer of refinement: 16 clicks of dedicated low-speed compression control let you tune the shock's initial response to small, high-frequency inputs — the kind generated by surface imperfections and kerb strikes that conventional shocks blur together. Combined with the full 32-click compression and rebound ranges, the DDS Pro offers a depth of tuning rarely found outside factory-level equipment.
Construction & Quality
Every DDS Pro unit is manufactured in the United Kingdom to tolerances set by K-Tech's own racing programme. The 35 mm RCU housing and 12 mm piston rod are CNC-machined from high-grade materials, with the hydraulic preload adjuster allowing rapid spring preload changes without the need for a C-spanner — an advantage that matters during a busy pit session. The eye-to-eye mounting configuration with 30 mm wide brackets and 10 mm bolt diameters is a direct replacement for the OEM unit, requiring no modification to the F3 subframe.
Installation & Safety
To ensure optimal function and the highest level of safety, K-Tech recommends installation by an authorised K-Tech Service Centre. Fitting this unit requires specialised knowledge and professional tooling. Incorrect installation can affect chassis geometry and handling in ways that compromise rider safety — please do not attempt installation without the appropriate expertise.
