The only deliberate omissions are the hydraulic spring preload adjuster and the bypass valve — features rarely needed for road and club-level track use. Everything else — the damper cartridge, the CNC-machined body, the nitrogen charge and the potentiometer mounts — is identical. That shared platform means the unit can be upgraded to Pro specification by a K-Tech Service Centre whenever your riding demands it, protecting your investment for the long term.

Damper Construction

The 35 mm diameter shock body is machined from aluminium alloy and houses a 12 mm diameter shaft running a 62 mm stroke. Nitrogen pressurisation at 105 N (5.00 bar) keeps the damper oil aerated-free under sustained hard use, maintaining consistent damping forces lap after lap or mile after mile. The 55-155 spring series covers a broad rate range, and the recommended baseline settings — 8 compression clicks, 8 rebound clicks and 12 mm of preload — give most riders a strong starting point from which to refine.

Fitment and Compatibility

This shock absorber is a direct, bolt-in replacement for the Honda CBR 1000 RR across all variants produced between 2008 and 2019. The upper eye mount measures 26 mm wide with a 10 mm bolt diameter; the lower eye mount measures 39 mm wide with a 10 mm bolt diameter. Both dimensions are factory-matched so no modification or adapter hardware is required.
